I think that it's great we're finally moving to the next level in animal research! I foresee Leptin/AD/p53 knockout models to greatly benefit work surrounding the relationships between diabetes, aging, cognition, and cancer progression. TONS of factors you can look at in terms of potential treatment and prevention. I'd be very interested if there would be a double ko rat (i.e. ApoE-/-p53-/-)....
